El Tour de Tucson

A Spectators's Version
It was  5:30  in the a.m. and it was cold!  A bone chilling 40 something degrees Fahrenheit,  hibernation weather for desert rats.  The best view at the time was definitely from the front seat of a pickup truck with the heater on!  Meanwhile, back on the asphalt, spandex clad racers were freezing their bike pads off.  Well, at least, most of the Tucson natives were anyway..
The Arizona sun later rose warming the air and coaxing the spectators to the  shady curbs to enjoy a spectacular view of the race.  To all of the spectators, who braved the elements downtown and elsewhere along the route, you did a great job!
